Directory standards
Editorial policy
How listings are sourced, reviewed, corrected, ranked, claimed, and labeled.
How listings are sourced
Listings may begin with official company websites, public business contact pages, public agency records, business-submitted information, or corrections from authorized representatives. Internal research notes and unpublished records are not displayed publicly.
What public status labels mean
- Directory reviewed
- We reviewed the public website, contact information, and apparent relevance to this directory.
- Commercial services confirmed
- An official company source explicitly describes commercial work.
- Business claimed
- An authorized representative completed the manual claim process.
- Details require confirmation
- One or more material details—such as capability, coverage, availability, or contact information—should be confirmed directly.
What we do not independently verify
Directory review is not a background check, audit, warranty, or professional qualification. We do not independently guarantee licensing, insurance, bonding, certifications, personnel, safety performance, pricing, availability, service quality, or suitability for a project.
Review cadence
Records are reviewed when first prepared for publication and may be revisited after a correction, claim, material source change, or periodic market audit. The review month shown on a profile comes from that record’s latest documented review date.
Corrections and removals
Anyone may report a factual issue through the correction path. Requests should identify the listing, disputed detail, and a reliable source. Removal requests are reviewed for identity, public-interest, legal, and editorial considerations; removal is not automatic solely because a listing is unclaimed.
How ownership claims are reviewed
Claimants must identify their role and provide business contact information. The directory may request confirmation through an official domain, a listed business phone number, public records, or other reasonable evidence before marking a listing as claimed or accepting material changes.
Paid placement and ranking
Sponsored and featured placements are paid and clearly labeled. Paid placement may affect ordering within an eligible category or city, but it does not guarantee leads, create an endorsement, change factual status labels, or override editorial eligibility. Payment is not required for inclusion.
Conflicts of interest
Editorial corrections and publication decisions use the same factual standards for free and paid listings. Commercial relationships are disclosed through placement labels. A person with a material conflict should not be the sole reviewer of a disputed listing decision.
Directory listings are provided for informational purposes and do not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or professional recommendation.
Users should independently verify licensing, insurance, qualifications, service coverage, pricing, and availability before hiring any provider.
